British Finswimming on BBC News
If you watch the BBC Breakfast News at the weekend, you will know that the sports reporter Mike Bushell tries a different sport every week, and mostly ones that aren’t very well known in the UK.
This week he tried his hand at Finswimming with the BFA’s very own Alaric Smith, on the weekend of the Edenbridge Meet, and you can see the video here on the BBC website.
For information of those who are going to come to Edenbridge for the competition on Saturday 2nd of April.

Edenbridge Gala has been rescheduled for the 2nd of April 2011
Dear Fin swimmers,
On 25 and 26 June 2011 the Dutch Open Fin swimming Championship 2011 will take place in Eindhoven.
Pieter van den Hoogenband zwemstadion, before Nationaal zwemcentrum de Tongelreep,

Timekeeping will be electronically. There are eight lanes available for swimming. With Prizes provided by www.speedswim.de.

Dear all,
A significant amount of snow (> 6”) fell again last night in the Edenbridge area and it is still snowing. With temperatures set to dip to -10C tonight and max temperatures of -4C tomorrow and 3C on Saturday, we have taken the decision to postpone the gala until next year (probably March/April). I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this but felt the earlier we made the decision the better for all concerned. It goes without saying that we of course send out details of the new event as soon as we have arranged it with the centre.
